RIP Dame Elizabeth Taylor

It seems like every time I go online these days I need to brace myself for bad news. Seeing the words "RIP Elizabeth Taylor" in my Facebook newsfeed this morning was like a slap in the face. One of the most talented, beautiful and beloved actresses of all time, Elizabeth Taylor was 79 years old when she passed away at Cedar-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles after being admitted with congestive heart failure 6 weeks ago.

Besides giving the world classic films such as 'Giant', 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', 'Cleopatra' and 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf', she always gave herself unrelentingly to AIDS research. Liza Minnelli was very close to Dame Elizabeth and my thoughts are with her at this sad time.

Dream come true..

What a weekend! Just woke up after my first sleep in 42 hours, exhausted but truly happy. Liza performed at the wonderful Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, MS on Friday night and I was fortunate enough to be a member of the adoring audience. And what a performance! Liza was fabulous as always, interacting with the audience and singing her heart out. She moved us with songs from her new album 'Confessions', such as 'You Fascinate Me So', He's a Tramp', 'I Hadn't Anyone Till You' mixing ...
